School Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is the governing body of the school. Responsibilities include determination of school policies, financial, personnel and program management of the school, study of evaluations, and long-range planning.
The Advisory Council receives regular reports from the principal. While the meetings are open, it should be clear that these are business meetings. Members of the public wishing to speak must be placed on the agenda 24 hours in advance of the meeting. The chairperson will use their discretion as to when to open a question to public comment. Members of the advisory Council must respect the confidentiality of issues raised in executive sessions.
