What do real parents say about WYANDOTTE CATHOLIC?
“Wyandotte Catholic Consolidated School provides the “village” it takes to raise a child. There is a high level of family participation in all aspects of education, including that of community. The parents and staff strive to model behaviors we want to instill in our children, such as kindness, caring and respect for others. I am proud to be the parent of a W.C.C.S. student!”
Lisa and Ray Ackley, parents of 2nd grader
“We decided on Wyandotte Catholic due to the good things we heard from other parents and we are not disappointed. The small class size has allowed the close teacher/student contact we wanted which has helped our son blossom. We know we made the right choice when our son (1st grade) told us he loved school. The Catholic education my son has received is helping to support the values we are trying to teach.”
Adrian and Jeannette Kowal, parents of 1st grader
“By sending our children to Wyandotte Catholic, we are carrying on a tradition of Catholic education in our family. Some of the best attributes of a small Catholic school are small class size, strong family ties, individual attention and challenging curriculum.
Personally, my friendships made at my grade school, Christ the Good Shepherd are ones that have lasted a lifetime. Since families at Wyandotte Catholic are not transient, friendships begin in kindergarten and continue past 8th grade, regardless of high school. Also, the Spring Fling and St. Pat’s St. Patrick’s Day Party are a way for all the families of both parishes to get together annually for a great time.”
Suzy and John Jedynak, parent of WCCS graduate and current 5 grader
“What impresses me about WCCS…the strong parent involvement.
Our principal and his commitment to the children. He spends most of his lunch outside with the kids during recess, making sure he knows both the kids and their parents. We also like the after school programs.
I have seen my child’s faith and knowledge in God grow more than I could have imagined. I continue to be amazed and proud as I watch his faith grow at just 7 years of age.
What makes WCCS unique? WCCS is truly a family, not an institution where you drop you child off for the day…You are entrusting your most special gift, your child, in the care of others. We the parents, students, and staff all share a common love for the Lord who teaches to love and treat others as you would want to be loved and treated..
The monetary sacrifice truly is a sacrifice, especially during difficult
times. However, I believe compared to what you get in returnat the end of the day, the sacrifice suddenly seems to be not so great anymore. I also believe that with God through prayer all things are possible, even what seems impossible. "
Andy and Michelle Orme, parents of 2nd grader
"WCCS has very friendly and helpful teachers. A Catholic education is a great foundation to a very well rounded child with a spiritual background as well as educational. It helps with the growth of morality and respect which I believe is missing in some other aspects of public education.
Being a part of WCCS is like being a member of a close family. My daughter is making friends that I know she will have and keep
throughout the years."
Julie and Bob Harder, parents of kindergarten student
"WCCS teaches that religion is a constant aspect of our lives, not just at church. WCCS encourages our children to incorporate morality into everyday decisions.
WCCS provides a wealth of social and extracurricular opportunities,
teachers, support staff and parents who obviously care, in addition
to an excellent academic and religious program."
Mark and Melanie Kesseler, parents of 4th grader
"What we like about WCCS: Family atmosphere! Christian values!
Prayer in school! Weekly church services, small student/teacher ratio, individual attention. We have found the principal and teachers very nice."
Margarete and Michael Netter, parents of 3rd and 4th graders
"As parents, we love Wyandotte Catholic because our boys are getting a solid, well-rounded, faith-based education. The atmosphere of the school is happy and up-beat. Everyone is kind, friendly and committed. We love the small class size - not only do the children benefit from this, but as parents, we do, too! The individualized attention is wonderful! We know our boys are still young, but when we hear things like "I can't wait for school tomorrow!" we are overjoyed. Thank you Wyandotte Catholic for all you do for us! We love you!"
Tricia and Pat Mastrogiacomo, parents of K and 1st graders
"Wyandotte Catholic offers all of the amenities of a large school; art class, gym class, music, extracurricular activities/groups and athletic clubs, with a small school environment that is nurturing, disciplined and creative.
Most importantly, WCCS offers small class sizes, giving our son all the resources he needs to learn and grown in a constructive, challenging and caring school."
Mandi and Matt Powell, parents of 3rd grader
"We feel that one of our duties as parents is to provide our children
with the best education possible so that they may eventually enter
high school, college and work force with all that will help them to
succeed. We feel we receive that through WCCS. Just as important to us is the reinforcement of basic moral values and teachings of Christianity which include caring for your fellow human. The unique "Make a Difference" program carried out through WCCS is just one of the many things we love about the school.
In an era where children are bombarded from all sides with media
and outside sources that say everything is o.k., it's nice to have the
values that we consider important, sharing, kindness, respect, honesty and commitment, reinforced in their school and religious teachings."
Judy and Mike Izzo, parents of 8th,5th and 3rd graders
"We have 2 children at WCCS and we truly believe that they are
receiving the best education. The teachers at WCCS go above and beyond when it comes to their job educating our children. They not only teach the basics, but they also teach caring, kindness and love. The teachers and staff make an effort to get to know each and every child personally, providing a great environment for learning.
It is a financial sacrifice, but one we believe is worth it when we see our children excel academically and trying to follow God's commandments.
Todd and Jennifer Rank, parents of 1st and 4th graders
"My daughters were more than prepared to take on the challenges of high school. Wyandotte Catholic gave them an excellent foundation that gave them a distinct advantage when they entered Gabriel Richard."
Carrie and Ed Fredericks, parents of 2 WCCS graduates and current 7th grader
In the seven years we have been at WCCS, we have seen our children grow in the spirit of Jesus through their actions and how they handle themselves in public situations, always polite and conducting themselves as good Christians….The teachers and staff really prepare our students well. The high test scores truly reflects the experience and knowledge that is being passed on to our children. We also love the warm, close, family feel at WCCS and together, through hard work, we have accomplished many tasks.
Lydia and Chris O'Callaghan, parents of 6th and 4th graders
